Active Lakenheath is a community-led initiative designed to help residents of all ages get active in ways that feel fun, inclusive, and achievable. Whether it’s walking with neighbours, playing with grandchildren, or trying a new activity in the village, we believe movement should be joyful, accessible, and part of everyday life.
Active Lakenheath is part of, and overseen by, Lakenheath Parish Council and Active Suffolk in partnership with Sport England. Together, we’re exploring how small, test-and-learn activities can spark lasting change - with the potential to unlock full award funding through Sport England’s Place Expansion programme.
